East Bay Street Project Wins 69th Carolopolis Award
HAROLD K. JORDAN & CO., INC. received the 69th Carolopolis Award in 2022 from the Preservation Society of Charleston for the 655 East Bay Street Project. This prestigious award showcases exceptional practices of sensitive flood adaptions and addressing climate risk to historic properties in Charleston.
655 East Bay Street Project consisted of 45 units in the main building, 6 townhomes with a private drive and one story parking garage. The project started in early 2020 and dealt with the challenging national health emergency at that time. HKJ team along with Cline Design and Madison Capital Group, accepted the challenge and the results speak for themselves.
The Preservation of Charleston sought to add an award category, which was New Construction and the entire 655 East Bay Street project team deserves a round of applause. Thank you to the Preservation Society of Charleston for recognizing the 655 East Bay Street Project. We are very appreciative and proud of the teamwork that took place.
