Mount Moriah

South Carolina-based Woodfield Development has inked the deal for a 277-unit complex called “Mt. Moriah Apartments.” The project has a combination of multiple structures and styles, one manor building, garden-style, and carriage units. These units will have multiple amenities while it is all located on nearly 11 acres off Mt. Moriah Road in Durham near the Patterson Place shopping center -- near Interstate 40 at Highway 501.

In an article written by Caleb Harshberger, a staff writer for Triangle Business Journal, on December 31, 2019, the following was stated by the owners. “(With) its proximity to the interstate and (Highway) 15-501, convenient access to Duke, UNC and Patterson Place and Wegmans coming down the road, there’s a lot of good momentum in that submarket,” says Scott Underwood, Woodfield Development partner. The plans are still in their earliest stages, he says, and while no price point, rental rates or strict timeline has yet been set, Woodfield hopes to begin construction by mid-2020.
